The Archdiocese of New Orleans Retreat Center (the former Cenacle Retreat House) will host a three-day retreat for men on the theme, “Man Up! Living Our Call to Discipleship and Holiness,” Oct. 19-21 at the center, 5500 St. Mary St., Metairie.
The retreat will be directed by Father Joe Krafft, who served for five years as parochial vicar at St. Clement of Rome Church in Metairie and now serves as director of human formation at Notre Dame Seminary.
“This is the only open men’s retreat held at the Archdiocese of New Orleans Retreat Center during the year,” said retreat captain Lou Piazza. “Father Krafft is a very well-known priest and spiritual leader.”
Father Krafft will use Scripture as a guide in focusing on Jesus’ call of the apostles to become his followers and on how Jesus formed his followers into a community and helped them grow in holiness through the process of conversion. He will discuss how Jesus continues to call men to communion, conversion and holiness.
