    ARCHBISHOP HANNAN HIGH SCHOOL, 71324 Hwy. 1077, Covington – Archbishop Hannan High School is a Catholic, coeducational school serving students in grades 8-12, emphasizing academic excellence, spiritual formation and character development. Committed to providing young men and women with an educational experience rooted in the Catholic tradition, students are motivated to reach their spiritual, academic and personal potential.
    Challenging each student’s academic ability and motivating that student in his or her pursuit of academic excellence are fundamental components of the Archbishop Hannan High School mission. The academically rigorous curriculum offers students a variety of college preparatory courses at four levels – College Preparatory, Pre-Advanced Placement, Honors, and Advanced Placement.
    Archbishop Hannan strives to create a school environment conducive to successful learning. Faculty members are available to provide extra help both before and after the school day. With a pupil-teacher ratio of 15 to 1, the faculty is keenly aware of each student’s strengths, weaknesses and potential. Experienced and dedicated college counseling and guidance professionals provide students with academic, personal and college counseling.
    As a Catholic school, the spiritual formation of every student is central to the mission. Students are provided opportunities to expand their faith life and develop a more intimate relationship with Jesus Christ through the theology curriculum and Campus Ministry office. An active Campus Ministry office offers students the chance to further engage and deepen their faith life through retreats, liturgical services and Christian service.
    The Christian service program is an essential component to the theology program at Archbishop Hannan because it allows students to live out the Gospel message of Jesus Christ to serve those less fortunate. Through the combined efforts of our theology department, campus ministry and Christian service programs, students begin to understand and experience the importance of integrating faith into all aspects of their daily lives.
    Archbishop Hannan is committed to maximizing the use and effectiveness of technology in order to provide students with the most current trends in education. This focus begins with the school’s one-to-one iPad program and continues with opportunities for students to participate in online and distance-learning research. All classrooms are equipped with LCD projectors, SMART Boards and flat screen televisions. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the entire campus. State-of-the-art science classrooms facilitate laboratory experiments, both physically and virtually, greatly enhancing student learning.
    Archbishop Hannan students are motivated, talented and involved in many activities beyond the academic day. Students are encouraged to exercise their talents through participation in after-school activities, clubs, sports, arts, music, band and/or theater programs. The wide variety of programs and clubs provides students with the opportunity to develop and improve skills, explore new interests, and build friendships. The extracurricular and co-curricular activities challenge students to prioritize and balance their schedules.
    The school’s athletics program fosters an atmosphere that enables the student-athlete to be coached in the intricacies of his or her individual sport while also developing character, teamwork and other life-skills necessary for personal and professional success. Archbishop Hannan’s athletic program fields teams in every major sport and has earned district and state titles throughout its history. The Archbishop Hannan Hawks are known throughout the state as excellent athletes, fair competitors and champions, both on and off the field.
