Academy of Our Lady seniors Catherine Forbes, Jalyn Barnes, Sabrina Dang, Alexis Johnson and Ashley Robichaux passed the National Health Science Assessment test offered by the National Consortium for Health Science Education and is supported by the American Association of College of Nursing as well as the American Nurses Association. The Assessment is designed to gauge proficiency in the foundational concepts of health care and aid students in preparation of the transition into postsecondary health science programs.Barnes, Dang, Forbes, Johnson and Robichaux completed required coursework in Academy of Our Lady’s Program of Academic Majors, specifically, the health science major.In addition to the Academy’s college-preparatory curriculum, students may choose to concentrate their elective courses in specific subject area or major. The health science major affords students the opportunity for in depth study in medical science. Academy of Our Lady’s Program of Academic Majors encompasses three other concentrations of study including Law and Civil Leadership, Culinary Arts and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math).
