Academy of Our Lady students raise money for ill classmate

The Thalian Society, Academy of Our Lady’s drama club, held a benefit entitled “Bits of Broadway” Aug. 28  in honor of freshman Rylee Pizani. Rylee was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer and is currently undergoing treatment. 

The Academy of Our Lady community wanted to show support for Rylee and her family, so students and alumnae performed a variety of numbers from their favorite Broadway musicals during two performances at the Marrero school. They raised a total of $2,020 to help Rylee and her family.
