Academy of Our Lady senior Madison Wilson of Marrero was honored by Wendy’s High School Heisman program which recognizes students who lead by example in the classroom, on the field and within the community. Wendy’s High School Heisman was created in 1994 and has honored more than 600,000 of the nation’s most esteemed high school seniors who share Wendy’s values of giving back to their communities, treating people with respect, continuing education and excelling on the athletic field. Wilson, an AOL student for four years, is a member of the Academy of Our Lady cheerleaders, the National Honor Society, the National English Honor Society, the French Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta and the Science Honor Society. After graduation, Wilson will attend the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and plans to pursue a career in nursing.
