Academy of Our Lady sings and earns honors

The Broadway Around the World Concert took place at Academy of Our Lady High School February 27, 2013.
 
Students in Choir and in Small Vocal Ensembles performed songs from Aida, The Sound of Music, Miss Saigon, Cinderella, South Pacific and Les Misérables.
 
The concert was at the school gym, under the direction of Dr. Louise LaBruyére.

Academy of Our Lady hosted the Louisianan Music Educator’s District V Solo & Ensemble Festival on Feb. 6.  Under the direction of Dr. Louise LaBruyére, Academy of Our Lady students performed prepared vocal solos and small ensemble selections. The participants and their awards are:
 
First Row: Tina Vo, Gretna, 1 superior and 1 excellent; Clara Bausa, Marrero, 2 superiors; Gabrielle Klinner, Marrero, 2 superiors.
 
Second Row: Lindsey DiFebbo, Gretna, 1 superior and 1 excellent; Megan Dang, Avondale, 2 superiors.
 
Third Row: Chloé Washington, Waggaman, 1 superior and 1 excellent; Raechelle Lopez, Marrero, 2 superiors.
 
Fourth Row: Katelynn Breaux, Marrero, 2 superiors; Taylor Monfra, Marrero, 3 superiors; Madison Morton, Gretna, 1 superior and 1 excellent; Joye Pate, Harvey, 2 superiors.
