Academy of Our Lady’s bowling team was undefeated with a 4 and 0 record defeating Mount Carmel Academy, Crescent City Christian School, Albany High School and Salmen High School after a third of its season competing in the Louisiana Invitational Baker Tournament held in Baton Rouge The team took on nine of the top schools in the state in a seven game match which led to the girls winning the tournament. Seventeen Academy of Our Lady students recently earned the Certified Nursing Aide certification by completing the required hours of training and successfully passing the competency evaluation required by the Louisiana Department of Health. These students are currently taking Academy of Our Lady’s Health Occupation Internship II elective in addition to their required college preparatory curriculum. Other courses of study in the Academic Majors program include Law and Civil Leadership, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) and Culinary Arts.
