Archbishop Chapelle High School president Jane Ann Frosch issued the following letter to the Chapelle community today:
March 28, 2012
To all ACHS parents:
I write to inform you that we have been informed that Ms. Jeannine Seoane has been arrested by the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office and charged with two misdemeanors, prohibited sexual behavior between an educator and a student, and purchasing alcohol for someone under twenty-one.
As we have previously informed you, Ms. Seoane had been placed on leave. This was in response to parental concerns reported to the school administration. Please know that as soon as we were made aware of these concerns, we contacted both officials with the Archdiocese of New Orleans and the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office. We have and are committed to cooperating fully with authorities in this investigation.
Please know that the safety and well being of your daughters, our students, is the first priority at all times. We will have counselors available for your daughters, including clergy, should they need to discuss any issue.
I ask that you keep all those directly involved and the entire Archbishop Chapelle community in your prayers. It is in these challenging times that we must be ever mindful of our motto, Deus Providebit, “God will provide,” and work together for our future.
Thank you for sharing our concern.
Sincerely in Christ,
Jane Ann Frosch, President
