Rain canceled the one-mile outdoor route of the annual Corpus Christi eucharistic procession June 10 but didn’t dampen the solemnity and spirit of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ celebration. After a Mass celebrated at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Shrine on State Street, Archbishop Gregory Aymond processed with the Eucharist inside the church. It was followed by benediction, and then free Plum Street Snowballs outside. Archbishop Aymond spent time after Mass talking with those who had attended.
