The Spirit of '76 chapter of the National society Daughters of the American Revolution recently dedicated a plaque in St. Louis Cemetery No. 1 honor of the contributions of the 265 Louisiana patriots who fought in the Revolutionary War under Gen. Bernardo de Galvez. Many are buried in this New Orleans cemetery just outside of the French Quarter.
