The National Honor Society Tapping Ceremony is a great tradition at Academy of Our Lady. Twenty-seven students received recognition for their academic achievements and were inducted into Academy of Our Lady’s chapter of the National Honor Society at the annual Tapping Ceremony held Oct. 30. To qualify for National Honor Society membership, students must maintain at least a 3.75 cumulative GPA at the beginning of sophomore year and have taken either two honors or dual enrollment courses during 10th through 12th grades; actively participate in at least two clubs; perform quality service hours in accordance with religion department guidelines; and have no major discipline infractions and teacher recommendations. Applicants are reviewed by a faculty committee who determines the final list of candidates.
