St. Mary’s Dominican students named Lou Reilly winners

St. Mary’s Dominican High School student Caroline Detillier was named a Lou Reilly Award winner for eight-grade winter sports in soccer.

Eighth grader  was named a Lou Reilly winner in track and field at the end-of-year spring banquet.

The Lou Reilly Awards for Sports are presented to athletes who continually try to improve their skills and who have listened to their coaches and teammates.  Each recipient is recognized for encouraging those playing while she is not in the game, and, when playing, gives her full effort at each moment. The student athletes themselves have a nominating vote in the selection of the award, while the final decisions are left to the discretion of the coaches.
