Sacred Heart Parish, invites everyone to Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine, located at 62135 Fish Hatchery Road, Lacombe, to honor Our Lady’s request for an hour of prayer from noon-1 p.m. for priests and religious and a return to purity, on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.

Several choral groups including Chorale, Encore, Celebration and 8th grade Fine Arts Survey. Also, the instrumental ensemble and handbell ensemble “The Bellas.” Open to the public. $5 tickets at the door. MCA students free with ID.

St. Paul’s School, 917 S. Jahncke Ave., Covington. The campus will be lit with thousands of candles, each candle including a prayer of a student, teacher or administrator. The celebration includes candlelight caroling in Founders’ Circle, a prayer service in Our Lady of Peace Chapel, a concert by the Saint Paul’s Band in the cafeteria, and a reception hosted by the Mothers’ Club. Luminaries are a tradition brought to St. Paul’s by the Christian Brothers who had lived and worked in New Mexico. The Roman Catholic belief is that the elaborately lighted pathway will help the spirit of the Christ child find its way into homes and hearts. It is free and open to the public.
