On Oct. 8 Academy of Our Lady students attended Mass, and new members of the Sparkles of Light Club received their pins as they read an entrustment to the Blessed Mother.
Sparkles of Light is a club open to all students at Academy of Our Lady who love Mary. The purpose of Sparkles of Light is to deepen devotion to Mary in order to love like her, serve like her and live like her.
Following Mary’s example to help others, the Sparkles of Light Club held a sock and towel drive Oct. 1-3 for those in need. All items collected were donated to the Harry Tompson Center at the Rebuild Center at St. Joseph Church.
Current members of the Sparkles of Light are freshman Hailey Babin, Gracelyn Barrios, Emma Palmisano and Olivia St. Germain; sophomores Macy Crowden, Farrah Labadie, Sarah Guidroz, Brooke Bourg, Kate McPherson, Kimmy Tran and Nha Nguyen; juniors Mallory Hines, Lindsey Nguyen and Julia Mai; and seniors Grace Hardy, Kayla Crowden, Macie Hymel, Emma Leighton and Hannah Bauer.
