Extraordinary ministers of holy Communion delegated

Ursuline Academy celebrated the first day of school with students in first through 12th grades attending the Mass of the Assumption in National Shrine to Our Lady of Prompt Succor and the annual blessing of the school’s herb garden. During Mass, celebrated by Father Peter Finney, pastor of St. Rita Church, New Orleans, Ursuline commissioned its new extraordinary ministers: Madison Boten, Mykah Brown, Rachel Durand, Katie Elam, Zoe Elam, Marguerite Eppling, Marie Foret, Isabel Frey Ribeiro, Charlotte Kimble, Diana Ledet, Lauren Songy and Casey Talbot.

St. Scholastica Academy commissioned 20 students as extraordinary ministers of holy Communion during Mass Aug. 15. They are seniors Mae Frey, Caroline Cresson, Haley Hessburg, Katherine Chiasson, Molly Manale, Maddy Coles, Carolanne Van Zandt, Lauren Madden, Therese Chifici, Alexandria deZayas, Aimee Lee, Lauren Sliman, Addie D’Aquin, Hannah Baham, Olivia Vogt, Mary-Kate Murphy, Ella Jourdan, Mary Frances Elliott, Abby Palopoli and Julia Albright.

The Academy of Our Lady installed its new extraordinary ministers of holy Communion during the first school Mass celebrated on the feast of Assumption Aug. 15. Inductees included seniors Emilie Adams, Alexandra Mahler, Alexia Nguyen, Mariela Lirette and Amelia Russell.
