Seven weeks of camp for boys and girls ages 5-12 are being offered this summer at Archbishop Rummel High School from May 29-July 14, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., with free before-camp care from 7-9 a.m.
Kevin Carrigee, camp director, said camp will offer basketball, arts and crafts, swimming (Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays from 9:45-11:45 a.m.), touch football, softball, soccer, kickball, movies, indoor games, laser tag, roller skating, bowling and even field day awards for camper of the week and camper of the year. An awards ceremony is scheduled July 14 at 1:30 p.m. in the gym.
Archbishop Rummel Raiders day camp is in its 46th year. After-camp care from 3-6 p.m. begins at $2 an hour for one child, up to $5 an hour for four children in the same family.
The camp fee for the full seven weeks is $840 for one camper or $150 a week; for two children, it’s $1,500 or $300 a week; for three children, it’s $2,200 or $450 a week; for four children, it’s $2,900 or $600 a week. There is a $35 registration fee per camper (includes two camp T-shirts). Fees are to be paid in full at registration by cash or check (Made payable to Archbishop Rummel Day Camp) or credit card. Registration in person is April 8 from 10 a.m.- noon or May 3 from 5-7 p.m. in the Raider Room. Swim bags and additional shirts sold at registration.
