More than 200 women and men religious attended a prayer service and luncheon celebrating World Day for Consecrated Life Feb. 8 at the Sisters of the Holy Family Motherhouse.

He said all religious women and men were presented with the faith through their parents and others. They then presented themselves to God through their vows and finally presented God to others in their ministry. At right, Mount Carmel Sister Beth Fitzpatrick, vicar for religious, greets the gathering. The group also heard about the life of Mother Henriette Delille and prayed the prayer she penned in 1836: “I believe in God. I hope in God. I love. I vow to live and die for God.”
