    ST. JOHN OF THE CROSS, a day of music and inspiration with Dan Caro and the N.O. Jazz Revival Band, March 17, 4 p.m., Monsignor Boeshans Community Center, 61030 Brier Lake Drive, Lacombe. Caro was burned over 90 percent of his body as a baby and lost his hands among other burn-related problems, yet became a world renowned drummer and inspirational speaker. He was confirmed at St. John of the Cross.

    ST. JOACHIM, free Family Expo, March 23, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., with crafts, inflatables, performances by area schools, booths by Jefferson Parish Parks and Recreation, Jefferson Parish Library, the Autism Society, Entergy Arc and Spark, the Louisiana SPCA, Children’s Hospital, Families Helping Families and others.     CONCERT, “The Art of Fugue,” March 17, 7:30 p.m. by Father Seán “Brett” Duggan, an internationally renowned pianist and acclaimed expert on the music of Johann Sebastian Bach. Louis J. Diboll Art Gallery, library fourth floor. Duggan is a two-time winner of the Johann Sebastian Bach International Competition for Pianists in Washington, D.C. He is currently an associate professor of piano at SUNY Fredonia.
