Holy Face devotion set

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Kenner will host the 25th annual Holy Face Triduum Feb. 10-12, beginning each night with a scriptural rosary at 6:30 p.m., followed by Mass at 7 p.m. and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
Father Richard Miles, pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 1908 Short St., will preach at all Masses. The triduum begins on the Sunday before Mardi Gras and runs through Mardi Gras night.
The devotion to the Face of Christ was begun in the middle of the 18th century by Sister Marie de St. Pierre. It focuses on the violation of the first three commandments – idolatry, blasphemy and religious indifference.
