Nick Parker reached a milestone in his basketball career at Loyola University on Feb. 23 when he scored his 1,000th career point in the Wolf Pack’s 91-81 victory over William Carey College in Ellisville, Mississippi.
Parker led five players in double figures, totaling 26 points and pulling down nine rebounds.
Entering the Southern States Athletic Conference game, Parker had collected 975 career points throughout his three seasons with the Wolf Pack. Following his performance against the Crusaders, Parker joined former Brother Martin forward Jalen Gray as the Wolf Pack men’s players to score 1,000 career points this season.
Loyola extended its victory streak to six games with the win over the Crusaders.
On the season, the Wolf Pack improved its record to 20-8 overall and 13-6 in conference play. With the victory, Loyola has reached the 20-win plateau for the first time since the 2011-12 season.
Tre’Von Jasmine added 16 points off the bench, and Gray scored 14 points and had four assists.
